1.Silk
It is considered the most expensive material as well as the most luxurious one. The genuine silk is natural and elegant sheen and beautiful drape than any other fabric you can ever find, and of course the price tag comes along with the greatness.

2.Satin
Satin is one of the most popular fabrics for formal dresses like evening dress or prom dress. Maybe someone can’t distinguish satin from silk. Satin is a fabric woven to be sheen on side, although it is made from silk but it can also be the blend of silk and polyester or acetate, which just results in more affordable price tags for a stylish dress.

3.Chiffon
chiffon fabric is made from silk or a synthetic fabric such as polyester. It is a nice fabric which creates a romantic flavor to the look. Ruffled or gathered chiffon prom dresses are very popular, especially for summer time.

4.Organza

5.Taffeta
Taffeta is also the traditional fabric as organza. It is heavier than satin, but a great choice for winter party.
