Anthurium is loved by most of women for it has blazingly tinted waxy heart form blooms. The weight of it is lighter than some heavy ginger flower or bird of blooms. Generally, people use them as hair flowers, boutonnieres or corsages. The colors of anthurium can be purple, peach, orange, pink with green edges, white, lavender and so on. This kind of flowers will last about six weeks after being picked.

Bird of paradise looks like a flying bird with leaves being like small banana leaves. They have a sequence of green, red and purple bracts forming each flower with three orange sepals and three dark blue petals. Two petals are connected looking like an arrowhead with a third petal forming a nectary at the base.

Calla lilies are very popular at the wedding. They own beautiful long stems, about one to three feet, and the flowers are yellow, pink, from pure to orange, purple etc. This kind of flower looks graceful using a single stem or a bunch of five to seven stems.

Ginger is a type of tropical flower. Its colors are from lavender and red to white with pink. Stems of ginger are long, sturdy and thick. Besides weddings, ginger can be also used in candles, perfume, soaps, soothing balms, and lotions.

Heliconia is a very large flower with thick and heavy stems. The shape of these flowers is similar to lobster claws. The color contains orange, fushia, and deep red. I think heliconia is the most beautiful in a large heavy vase.

The last one I want to show is orchids. Three of the widely used orchids are Phalaenopsis, Cymbidium, and Oncidium. They are generally white, pin, yellow, red, pale green, lavender, and other colors.

Why Not Try to Do A Wedding Veil By Yourself?

You fold it in half, then in half again.

Next, you need to use some straight pins to hold it all together. You carefully cut all of the corners off to make them round, and create a rectangle or oval shape.

About the edging of the wedding bridal veil, you can choose the ribbon edging or lace and beaded edging and so on. If you like the beaded edge, you should add some beads to the edge. Certainly, it really all depends on your patience and your sewing skills. If you think it is a trouble, you might as well make the lace or ribbon edge of your veil with the nylon thread.

In order to gather the veil, you need to sew two rows of running stitch which are at the gathering point of the veil. You can leave about 20″ on either side of the gathering point.

It is also important to scrunch the tulle up on the gathering thread until the gathering part is about 4″ long. At last, you can sew two knots on either side.

The last step is to buy a plain comb from the craft store having wedding supplies. Generally, a metal comb works best to fasten the veil onto your hair. Now, a beautiful wedding veil is perfectly finished.
